What does it mean to collaborate? What does it mean to be best friends with a person you see as competition? How do you honor your voice and talent, silence the vampire voices that tell you that you aren't good or worthy, AND make the most out of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers have given us this beautiful opportunity to examine all of these questions, and then some, wrapped up in an absurdly hilarious package. It's a memory play. It's a love letter to artistic collaboration and it's a silly showcase of just about every style of storytelling there is. Last year on my birthday I set a goal to direct and had the pleasure of spending this year's birthday in rehearsal for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This cast and creative team have been such a dream to work with and I'm honored to be included in this inaugural production for Morgan Theatre Company. How do I like them apples? I like 'em juuuuust fine.– Amber Quick
